Weekend in Harrogate

It was thanks to a friend of my wife's having an Engagement Party that we got a weekend in Harrogate. As usual I took a camera, the K10D this time, in case of a photo opportunity presenting itself.

I didn't take pictures at the party but the following day we managed to tick off Mother Shipman's Cave from my wish list.

Only a short distance outside of Harrogate and it makes for a nice region to walk in, plenty of things to see and do and of course the phenomenon that is seeing every day items being petrified within 3 months.

You can also admire the sculpted faces in the felled logs and try to imitate them if that's your thing haha

Or how about getting up close and personal with various Birds of Prey?

Or just humiliate your other half

If you really like a challenge you can also hunt the mobile phone signal

On the way home we also spotted this awesome old Buick standing by the side of the road and that was a picture just waiting to be taken.
